Course Assistant


  • Customer care oriented and able to deal confidently with the students and trainer on a daily basis

  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and has positive attitude

  • Flexible, able to multi-task and demonstrate good time management skills

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Has a great sense of organisation

  • Has very good communication skills and able to work as part of a team

  • The ability to record, manage and communicate information accurately

  • Fluent in English and preferably fluent in Arabic

  • International experience is an asset

  • AMI training is an asset


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan events such as Open House for potential students

  • Answer phone calls, communicate with current and potential students

  • Assist with the course work including preparation of materials, buying needed items, printing, etc.

  • Come to the training centre early before the course day starts, open the centre and make sure it is ready

  • Order catering, coffee and tea as needed, and make sure that breaks are organized on time

  • Supervise the cleaner and office helper, and make sure the centre is clean and organized

  • Keep track of cleaning supplies and make a monthly list of items to purchase

  • Report needed maintenance to the management

  • Handle petty cash

  • Keep track of students’ attendance and assignments

  • Maintain students’ files

  • Supervise students during supervised practice

  • Arrange and participate in recreational activities for students and/or trainer

  • Ensure that the course is going smoothly, the trainer and students are happy and having a positive

  • experience

  • Participate in Staff development training and activities

  • Attend meetings with the management and participate in planning for future courses

Note: The Course Assistant can sit for the course as long as there is no work to finish

Working Hours

  • Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday From 10:00 to 18:00

  • Saturday From 08:30 to 05:30


The Course Assistant shall perform his/her duties subject to the general supervision and direction of the Director of Training (AMI Trainer), and shall abide by all rules, regulations and policies set forth in the Staff Handbook.
